WELCOME TO THE TRI CTY STARS!

The Tri City Stars is the area’s original cheerleading and dance performance group for children ages 3 and up.  We are committed to teaching quality dance and cheerleading fundamentals and providing an outlet for development though performance. Our goal is to provide your student with the best dance/cheer fundamentals and improve self confidence!

STARS ORGANIZATION:

     Little Stars Ages 3-4      

     Blue Stars  Ages 5-7

     Red Stars  Ages 8-10     

These squads are recreational and are not skill based. If students are close to another birthday, they can move up to the appropriate squad.  If a student’s skills are above those in her age group, we may suggest they move up to another squad.  We would discuss this with parents before making any changes. We offer teen recreational cheer classes for older students.

You are always welcome to take the Tri City Stars class just for fun and recreational skill development, and/or you can join in the performances too!  To be a part of the performances (normally 2 each month) you will need to purchase a Tri City Stars uniform. See Tami at the desk for more information.

GETTING STARTED WITH THE STARS
-Fill out a registration form and pay tuition for the Stars class.
-Each quarter you will need to resign the form for enrollment in the next quarter.
-Read through this booklet for uniform information
-Stay informed by reading newsletters and the reader board.

PERFORMANCES:  Students can begin performing after they have attended class for at least 3 weeks, know the current routines and have a team uniform. Please use good judgment when allowing your daughter to perform.  If she has missed class and does not know the routine, skip the performance.  Performances are always optional, however we ask that you sign up at the desk for each performance. This is very important!  If we do not have enough participants, we reserve the option to cancel the performance.

PRACTICE ETIQUETTE: Due to our concern for safety, parents and siblings are asked to watch class from the viewing area only.  Loud conversations can be very distracting to the class, so please keep your voices low and younger sibling occupied during class sessions.  PLEASE COME IN APPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR ALL PRACTICES!  SHOES AND CHEER CLOTHING ONLY, NO JEANS, SANDALS, ETC!

AWARDS: Trophies are given for each year of participation in the Stars.  Registration date starts the first year and trophies for each year are awarded in the month of your daughter’s registration.

ELITE ALL STAR CHEER TEAMS
If you are planning to audition for one of the Elite cheer teams, note there is a different uniform, poms, shoes, warm ups and bag required of all COMPETITIVE cheerleaders. 

If interested in the competition cheer teams, please see the front desk for information.  If your cheerleader moves on to a competitive team in the future, you can resell your Stars uniform! 
Auditions for Elite All Star competition cheer teams are held during the year.  These are the competition squads which require more of a time and financial commitment.  Auditions are normally held in April or May each year.
