Congratulations to the new 2010 Eastern Washington Elite Dance and Cheer Teams! Thank you to all participants who auditioned for the 2010 EW Elite Teams and to those who attended Karl Mundt's dance workshop.

Letters will follow to all who were not placed on a team at this time indicating the areas that need development. If there is an asteriks* by your name, see the reason at the bottom of the roster.

All dancers (in town) should plan to start attending their required classes this week (May 18th, 2009). We will send out a list of assigned class levels for all dancers within the next day so you know what classes to attend. Out of town dancers will need to supply Coach Teri with a list of your current classes at your home studio. You will also need to make arrangements for summer classes if your studio is closing during the summer.

First Parent Meeting: Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 7:00pm, Roundtable Pizza on Leslie/Gage in Richland....this is a mandatory meeting for at least ONE parent. Senior dancers can attend if a parent cannot. We will be discussing all financial obligations, plans for the season and many important items for the year.

For the Senior Team....2010 USASF rules have changed allowing us to have different dancers in the jazz routine and the hip hop routine. Based on skill level, some dancers may not be choreographed in to the jazz routine, but will participate in hip hop. Ideally, all dancers will be in both routines, however, Karl will only be selecting those dancers who can master the required turns at the time he stages choreography in June. Coach Teri will be conferencing with those dancers who skills need development during the next 5 weeks prior to choreography. If a dancer is not choreographed in at that time, she will continue training and working to master the necessary skills in order to be added to the routine at a possible later date. This is why required classes are so very important during the next month.
